H&M's Top 10

Last week H&M finally launched its online shopping site in the US. To celebrate the affordable but on trend brand taking a big step onto the global scene, I’ve chosen my top picks from the new site. There’s a lot of classic black, perfect for easing into the autumn/winter season, complimented by subtle hardware and glossy metallic finishes.

A winged tote is the ultimate accessory for autumn/winter. The shape started off at Celine and has since been spotted at Reed Kirchoff, Prada and just about every heavyweight fashion house. In understated black, this will take you into the new season with style.

Fashion’s fallen in love with the tiger motif in a big way (thank Kenzo and their luxe sweatshirts) – these canvas sneakers in leopard print are an easy way to channel the trend.

This duffel bag looks surprisingly luxurious given its pricetag, which falls just under $50. Gold hardware offsets supple imitation leather in navy, and lends the casual duffel shape a bit of structure.

If you want a shortcut into artfully stacked jewellery, H&M’s set of nine mix-and-match rings come in various widths. Spread them over one hand or concentrate on a few metal-heavy fingers, and mix them up with other colours and textured for one-off style.

Deceptively simple, a short chain necklace has the power to make a statement out of a simple tee or sweatshirt. Either of these necklaces will help you master the tricky art of high-low dressing, with metallic finishes that look great against dove grey.

With a smoky tortoiseshell pattern and minimalist pouch shape, this clutch is the ultimate grab-and-go bag. With a skinny wrist strap it’s perfect for your evening essentials.
